On 22 September 2016, the training event  - “Constitutional Courts and NGOs in the democratic society” was organised for the representatives of the non-governmental organisations of the Republic of Moldova. The training was organised in the framework of the EU-funded CCM project – Support to the Constitutional Court of Moldova.

The training sessions were dedicated to the relations between the Constitutional Courts and other state institutions with the civil society. The good practices of the Republic of Moldova, as well as other European states were discussed during the training sessions, conducted by the Deputy Secretary General of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova and senior international experts invited by the CCM project.

The opening session chaired by the EU-funded project’s team leader was followed by the sessions with the specific subject-matters conducted by the local experts as well as by Minister Kakha Kakhishvili, member of the Government of Georgia and Ambassador Urszula Gacek, former member of the European Parliament and former Polish Ambassador to the Council of Europe. CCM project’s Key Expert on ECthR jurisprudence moderated the concluding session of the event.

The CCM project workplan envisaged organisation of similar activities for the representatives of the media community and other target groups in the Republic of Moldova.
