Filling the vacancy of a constitutional judge position

In light of the recent passing of a judge of the Constitutional Court, the President of the Court has notified today the competent authority (i.e. the Superior Council of Magistracy), requesting the appointment of a new judge. 

According to Article 20 para. (2) of the Law on the Constitutional Court, the competent authority shall appoint the new judge within fifteen days from the date of notification by the President of the Constitutional Court.
