Titus Corlăţean, member of the Senate of Romania, visited the Constitutional Court of Moldova

On 10 May 2016, the President of the Constitutional Court of Moldova, Mr Alexandru Tănase had a meeting with Mr Titus Corlățean, Romanian Senator, member of the Foreign Policy Committee in the Romanian Senate and Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Schengen Accession.

During the meeting, the two officials discussed the crucial role played by the Constitutional Court in building a modern, solid and functional state based on the rule of law in Moldova.

The Romanian official noted that Romania supports the strengthening of the democratic institutions in Moldova through partnerships developed at an inter-institutional level, focusing on key areas in order to fulfill Chișinău's commitments to the European Union including justice, home affairs and anti-discrimination policies.
