The Second Day of Training Sessions For Students on the Occasion of Europe Day

On 12 May 2017, the Constitutional Court of Moldova (CCM) has marked Europe Day for the second day in a row, and hosted students from the Department of Law and International Relations of The University of Political and Economic European Studies “Constantin Stere” and from The American University of Moldova.

The students were greeted by the CCM judge - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Veaceslav Zaporojan and by the Secretary General of the CCM - Mrs Diana Balan, who made a presentation of the powers and organisational structure of the Court.

The former judge of the Constitutional Court of Lithuania, who is an expert of the European Union project “Support to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova,” Prof. Dr. Toma Birmontienė underlined in her presentation the European dimension of the activity of CCM.

Concluding the event positively, the future lawyers took advantage of the possibility to address questions on the activity of CCM and its impact on advancing the European path of the Republic of Moldova.
