The Research and Analysis Division is a subdivision of the Legal Directorate of the Secretariat of the Constitutional Court, which has the task of investigation of the practice of constitutional courts abroad, to inform periodically about the solutions delivered by the European Court of Human Rights and the recommendations of the Venice Commission on a specific segment of research.


The duties of the Research and Analysis Division are as follows:

 

  • provision of the necessary documentation to the judge-rapporteur on the solutions in the national and foreign jurisprudence and doctrine;
  • check of the files of international jurisprudence and other documentations, prepared upon the request of judges and referees designated for the  file;
  • provision of the necessary documentation to judges for the participation and representation of the Court at events of promote the Court work;
  • summarization and analysis of the statistical information concerning the judicial activity of the Constitutional Court;
  • proposal of recommendations on issues related to the implementation of  the constitutional jurisdiction and general management of the Court;
  • development of general administrative acts related to the work and organization of the Court.
  • coordination of the regular information on the solutions delivered by the European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the European Union relevant to the work of the Constitutional Court, on the recommendations of the Venice Commission, other international agencies and the judicial activity of other constitutional courts; 
  • provision of the management and development of the book fund.
  • drawing up of the sheet of international law and jurisprudence;
  • establishment of regular information on the solutions delivered by the European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the European Union relevant to the work of the Constitutional Court;
  • regular preparation of sheets on the jurisdictional activity of other constitutional courts;
  • regular preparation of sheets on the recommendations of the Venice Commission, which are relevant to the work of the Constitutional Court;
  • analysis of statistical information concerning the jurisdictional activity of the Constitutional Court and making recommendations;
  • development of the Annual Report of the Constitutional Court on the exercise of jurisdiction and other publications of the Court;
  • other duties related to the research and documentation at the request of the judges and the President of the Constitutional Court.
