Delegation of the Romanian Ministry of Justice visits the Constitutional Court of Moldova

Chișinău, 26.08.2016 - President of CCM, Alexandru Tănase, received the delegation of the Romanian Ministry of Justice, headed by Minister Raluca Alexandra Plum and her counterpart from Moldova, Vladimir Cebotari. The meeting was held during the official visit to the Republic of Moldova by Romanian PM, Dacian Cioloş.

Discussions focused on the developments the two states have seen in their cooperation in justice sector. In this context, the parties established guidelines to be followed. Furthermore, Mrs Raluca Alexandra Plum stated that Romania appreciates the excellent relations established between Romania’s and Moldova’s Constitutional Courts.

President of CCM, Alexandru Tanase, welcomed the initiative of the Romanian Minister of Justice to create this autumn the Forum Romania - Republic of Moldova in the justice field. The Forum shall facilitate the exchange of experience between both countries in this sector, in order to acquire and adopt best practices, including in constitutional justice.

At the end of the visit, Minister Plum stated that Romania remains a faithful supporter of justice sector reforms carried out in Moldova.
