A delegation of the Constitutional Court of Moldova is attending the 4th Conference of the World Conference on Constitutional Justice (WCCJ), held in Vilnius, Lithuania, between 11-14 September 2017.

The Court is represented by President Tudor Panțîru, judges Aurel Băieșu and Igor Dolea and by the Chief Assistant-Judge Rodica Secrieru.

The goal of the 4th WCCJ  Congress is to promote dialogue at international level, which is beneficial to judges of constitutional justice institutions, and to strengthen constitutional justice as a key element for democracy, protection of human rights, and the rule of law.

The topic of the discussions is focused on "The Rule of Law and Constitutional Justice in the Modern World." During the five sessions, participants will discuss the diversity of the concepts of the rule of law in different countries, the role of constitutional courts in ensuring the rule of law, protection of human constitutional rights, and independence of constitutional courts.

The WCCJ is an organisation uniting constitutional control institutions from all over the world.
