A New Judge of CCM Has Taken Office

As of 12 May 2017, the Constitutional Court of Moldova (CCM) has a new composition after the new judge, Mrs Victoria Iftodi, has taken the oath before the Parliament, the President of the Republic of Moldova and the members of the Superior Council of Magistrates.

According to the law, the judge takes office on the day of taking the oath. Mrs Victoria Iftodi was appointed by the Government as judge of CCM on 3 May, following the expiry of the constitutional judge mandate of Mr Alexandru Tănase. The new judge of CCM has previously exercised the offices of representative of the Government in the Integrity Council of the National Integrity Authority, of Minister of Justice and of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the French Republic.
